Storage usage, media library sizes, drive details, and charts.

Overview

The Storage tool helps you understand how much space is used, what is taking up space in Photos and Music libraries (with permission), and how storage is distributed.

On macOS Catalyst, Lirum also includes Storage Analyzer for deeper disk scanning and analysis.

Tabs

Overview Tab

The Overview tab includes:

• A circular storage gauge showing used storage and total capacity.
• A Photo Library panel (requires Photos permission):
  • Photos count and total size
  • Videos count and total size
  • Total media size
  • Calculating state for large libraries
• A Music Library panel (requires Media Library permission):
  • Songs, playlists, albums, artists
  • Calculating state while the library is scanned
• A Refresh button (arrow icon) that re-runs the Photos and Music calculations.

Details Tab

The Details tab lists internal drives/volumes. Tap a drive to open a detail screen with:

• A utilization gauge
• Mount point, device, and filesystem values
• Total, used, and free space (plus raw bytes and percentages)

Graphs Tab

Graphs contains charts that summarize storage and media libraries (some require permissions), including:

• Media distribution (Photos vs Videos)
• Photo vs Video item counts
• Music library statistics (counts by category)
• Storage breakdown (Photos, Videos, Other Used, Free)

Permissions

The Storage tool may request:

• Photos permission (Photo Library panel and photo/video charts).
• Media Library permission (Music Library panel and related charts).

If permission is denied, Lirum shows a permission-required state and offers an Open Settings action.

Notes And Limitations

• Library size calculations can take time on large libraries; while calculating, Lirum shows a progress indicator.
• Drive/volume lists and mount points vary by OS version and device.
